My name is Doug Attaway, I will be teaching all the automotive classes from the beginning level to Automotive Technology II. This is my first year at WPISD, and I am excited about this course and what it can do for students who want to enter the field of automotive service and repair. I am a retired professional fireman after 36 years, and have worked in both private auto repair shops and dealerships for 34 years. I recently came from the shop foreman position at Platinum Chevrolet Cadillac, where I assisted new automotive techs in the process of diagnosis and repair of vehicles.  I am ASE certified (under renewal) in A1- A8 , light duty diesel and advanced diagnosis.

In this class we will be doing a combination of classroom assignments and hands-on lessons to develop both knowledge and ability to apply that knowledge in a real world environment.
