Scott Caloss, Ed.D.
Scott Caloss is in his fifth year as Superintendent of Wills Point Independent School District. He brings 29 years of experience in public education from a wide variety of school districts. Dr. Caloss served as Superintendent of Poth Independent School District prior to coming to Wills Point. He was part of the Poth school district for 11 years, 8 years as the Junior High Principal and 3 years as the Superintendent. Prior to Poth ISD, Dr. Caloss was a math teacher and coach at Jourdanton ISD and later became the Assistant Principal at the Jourdanton High School. He also has experience as a math teacher and coach from his work at the Valley Mills Public Schools, near Waco, and Birdville Independent School District, near Fort Worth.
Dr. Caloss received his Bachelor’s Degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, where he studied physical education and mathematics. He received his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas Women’s University in Denton and his Superintendent’s Certification from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Caloss received his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Caloss has been married for 29 years to Adrian Caloss, who is an English teacher at Brown Middle School in Forney ISD. He has a son, Jacob, who teaches and coaches in Comal ISD, and a daughter, Madison, who graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos.
Barbie McMath, Ed.D.
Assistant Superintendent for Instruction and Accountability
Dr. Barbie McMath joined Wills Point ISD in 2016. Dr. McMath spent 12 years as a classroom teacher and 2 years as an instructional specialist prior to becoming an administrator in 2008. Dr. McMath is a graduate of Whitesboro High School, in Whitesboro Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University, Master’s Degree from Lamar University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. Dr. McMath believes in creating an academic culture that focuses on developing character, service, and leadership.
Dr. McMath and her husband Charlie, who is also an educator, have four children. Christy and Justin both serve in the United States Airforce. Olivia, a 2019 graduate of Wills Point High School, attends Texas A&M University. Hannah, attends Wills Point High School.
Assistant Superintendent of Operations and Student Services
Jeff Russell joined Wills Point ISD in 2015. Mr. Russell spent 6 years as a teacher and coach in Irving ISD and Mansfield ISD. He accepted his first Assistant Principal position in Canton ISD in 2008, where he served at the junior high and high school levels. Upon arriving in Wills Point he became the Assistant Principal at Wills Point Middle School, moved into the Principal role for WPMS, and for the past two years has served as Principal for Wills Point High School. Mr. Russell is extremely excited to serve the students, staff, and community of Wills Point, and truly believes there are great things ahead for this outstanding district.
Mr. Russell is a graduate of Nimitz High School in Irving, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree from Dallas Baptist University, Master’s Degree from Texas A&M at Commerce, and Superintendent Certification from The University of Texas at Tyler.
Mr. Russell and his wife, Angela, who serves as the choir director for Canton High School, have two daughters, Avery, 14 and Addyson, 11.
