Hello I am Desiree Engledow and I am an alumni of WPISD.  I have been in education for 10 years.  I went to Texas A&M-Commerce where I majored in art education.  I have a generalist teaching certification 4-8 and art education certification k-12. This is my second year at WPHS teaching Fine Arts.  Previously I taught 5th grade Science for 8 years and then was blessed with the opportunity to move up to High School and teach art.   I believe that everyone is creative and has the ability to express themselves through different mediums.  My goal as a art teacher is for my students to gain confidence and ability in the arts.  For them to seek and create through different mediums and develop a sense of visual observation.
