Mr. Kornegay has been with Wills Point ISD since 2009 as Assistant Band Director and became the Director of Bands in 2018.  Before coming to Wills Point, Nick was the Director of Bands at Florence HS in Florence, TX.  Mr. Kornegay teaches the Wills Point Marching Band, HS Symphonic Band and 6th grade trombone, baritone, and tuba students.  

Previous accolades and awards include numerous sweepstakes trophies at UIL Concert/Sightreading contest and multiple appearances in the UIL State Marching Contest. Professional organizations include being a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association. 

Nick is married to his wife, Jillian and together they have five kids.
