I’m so excited about teaching 6th grade ELAR and Social Studies here at Wills Point ISD this year.  This will be my 17th year in education.  I taught 3rd grade for 10 years in Greenville ISD and then moved to Kaufman ISD to serve as the Elementary Instructional Facilitator for 4 years.  The past 2 years I’ve served as the RTI Reading Interventionist for 5th and 6th grade.

I graduated from TAMU-Commerce in 2003 with my Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies.  I went on to earn my Master of Science degree from TAMU-Commerce in 2005 with a major in Elementary Education.  I continued on and earned my Master Reading Teacher Certification in the fall of 2005, and in 2012 I earned my Principal Certification from TAMU-Commerce.

I’ve been married for 32 years to my husband Tony Hardie, and we have three adult daughters ages 28, 26, and 25.  I also have 2 beautiful grandchildren ages 5 and 2.  I live on a farm just outside of Canton, Tx with my husband, two dogs and one cat.  I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and pets.

I’m looking forward to meeting each of you and working with you and your child this year.  If you need to reach me, my conference is from 9:25 – 10:17.  You can also reach me by email me at janie.hardie@wpisd.com, or call me at 903-873-5100.  I can also be reached through remind.

Thank you for sharing your children with me.  I'm looking forward to an amazing year!
